2010: Sun Shines

In February 2010, I was commissioned by Apartments at Peabody Place to paint a mural in the historic Adler Hotel Apartment's building. I used acrylic paint and beginning on the ceiling, I continued down a 8 x 10 wall in the washer/dryer room. This is a multicolored mural of the Sun, Mississippi River, Showboat and Tree.

2008 A Story: Sun, Water, Boat, Tree

This mural is first in a series of wall illustrations and called:  Sun, Water, Boat and Tree. I have illustrated this painting in four separate squares. It is painted in acrylic on a 8 x10 wall, third floor, Gayoso House, Peabody Place Apartments, Memphis, TN.

January 2008 - Orange

Orange is the new green? No way, but orange creates an energy in a room. I've never painted with orange. Recently, it was suggested by a very creative artist to paint orange walls behind new art we've purchased. Good idea, but there are many shades to orange. I will post a picture later of my orange endeavor.

Green is the new Black

January 1, 2008, wow, the first day of the year and the first blog created by me, Miss Sandra. It will be "cool" to keep a record of this year. I know it's going to be very interesting. I'm beginning with Green is the new Black because it's so true that we must change the way we feel about our environment and ourselves. The kitchen is painted green, I've downsized to a fuel efficient car, I recycle at work.....I'm trying. More later.
