2010: Energy in Gayoso's Workout Center

I created this artwork in the workout center of the Peabody Place Apartments, Memphis, TN. Using acrylic paints I have added an energetic feel to a very large room. 

 

2009: Memphis in May on the Mississippi

 

Memphis in May on the Mississippi is located in the Apartments at Peabody Place, Gayoso House Apartments, 6th floor, laundry room. This mural is painted in acrylic paints on an 8x10 wall.

2009 : Variety

This mural is called Variety. It is located in the Gayoso House, Peabody Place Apartments, Memphis Tn. I used acrylic paint on a 8 x 10 wall and illustrated various restaurant signs on Beale Street, a cat, the Mississippi River and a Sun flower.

2009: Brighter Days

This mural is located in the Apartments at Peabody Place, Gayoso House, fourth floor laundry room. It is painted with acrylic paint in four separate squares on the 8 x 10 wall.

2010 Pink Sun Flower

This pink sunflower is brightening a laundry room at the Adler Hotel Apartments in downtown Memphis, TN. I used acrylic paint.  "You have to feel better about laundry day with a pink sunflower looking at you."

2010: Sun Shines

In February 2010, I was commissioned by Apartments at Peabody Place to paint a mural in the historic Adler Hotel Apartment's building. I used acrylic paint and beginning on the ceiling, I continued down a 8 x 10 wall in the washer/dryer room. This is a multicolored mural of the Sun, Mississippi River, Showboat and Tree.

2008 A Story: Sun, Water, Boat, Tree

This mural is first in a series of wall illustrations and called:  Sun, Water, Boat and Tree. I have illustrated this painting in four separate squares. It is painted in acrylic on a 8 x10 wall, third floor, Gayoso House, Peabody Place Apartments, Memphis, TN.

January 2008 - Orange

Orange is the new green? No way, but orange creates an energy in a room. I've never painted with orange. Recently, it was suggested by a very creative artist to paint orange walls behind new art we've purchased. Good idea, but there are many shades to orange. I will post a picture later of my orange endeavor.

Green is the new Black

January 1, 2008, wow, the first day of the year and the first blog created by me, Miss Sandra. It will be "cool" to keep a record of this year. I know it's going to be very interesting. I'm beginning with Green is the new Black because it's so true that we must change the way we feel about our environment and ourselves. The kitchen is painted green, I've downsized to a fuel efficient car, I recycle at work.....I'm trying. More later.
